Be Not Afraid…

Living in today’s society can cause us women to naturally have some anxiety about what's going on around us. When we look around and observe all that is happening, it can certainly cause fear to rise up in our spirit. However, as Daughters of Zion, we can always remember one of our precious weapons that Yahuah has equipped us with, which is the Sword of the Ruach, His living Word.

When watching the news this past weekend, there was nothing really good to report. We were reminded of the many mass shootings that took place, the destructive tornadoes, and what was so bad about this, is that it was supposed to be a time of celebration for Yah’s people for our freedom from captivity.

There are still so many of us who are still bound and held captive. We thought we were free, but our enemy, the devil, is always on the prowl trying to find ways to destroy Yah’s people. Albeit, in sickness, financial despair, death, family dysfunction, or not feeling like we are where we should be in life, which may add to our distress and dis-ease. Even our jobs can cause us to feel a sense of worry or despair - always trying to please our employers and be those women of excellence that we know our Heavenly Father desires us to be. Also, even running our own businesses can cause fear to rise up in us, especially when we are depending on our business to take care of all of our living expenses.

Daughter, I have good news for you today.

The word of Yahuah has a lot to say to encourage our very souls in the time of stress, anxiety, or fear. We are to never shrink back to the attacks of Ha`satan. He is nothing in comparison to the one that lives within us. This is why it is very important to know the scriptures for yourself, so that when the enemy comes in like a flood, Yahuah, our Elohiym, will raise up a standard against our enemies. (Isaiah 59:19)

We would like to leave you with a few scriptures that will encourage your soul and bring you back to wholeness in your walk with the Almighty, because there are grim consequences for us who walk in fear.

Here are some of our favorites. Let’s take a look at them -

  • Psalms 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In Elohiym whose word I praise, in Yahuah I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

  • Romans 8:26 Likewise the Ruach also helps our infirmities: for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Ruach himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

  • Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for Yahuah Elohayka, he is the one that goes with you: he will not fail you, nor forsake you.

  • Joshua 1:9 Yahuah reminds Joshua and us as well the following; “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be dismayed: for Yahuah Elohayka is with you wherever you go. NOTE: David also reminded Solomon the same in 1 Chronicles 28:20.

  • 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

  • Isaiah 41:10 says, So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your Elohiym. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

  • 2 Chronicles 15:7 But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.

  • 2 Timothy 1:7 For Yahuah has not given us a ruach of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. NOTE: We are truly powerful in His strength.

  • Daniel 10:19 And he said, O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage. And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my Elohiym speak, for you have strengthened me”.

  • 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

My dear sisters, Yahuah is very serious when it comes to us having fear and unbelief. He places it in the category with other sins that we felt we had no problems with. He says it is impossible to please him when we do not place our trust in Him. Therefore, whenever fear and doubt tries to take its grip on you for any reason, be reminded of what Revelation 21:8 says - “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Prayerfully, this will help get you back on a path that will lead you to total victory in your life and in your everyday circumstances.
